AZ SARA Council Meetings and Review Cycle Timeframes

The Arizona SARA Council meets three times a year in September, January and May. All Initial and Renewal institutional applicants are reviewed at one of these annual meetings. Initial Applicant institutions must work with the AZ SARA Executive Director on determining one of the below review cycle's for it's initial application prior to submission. Please review the Apply/Renew page for a detailed explanation of the review process.

Arizona SARA Council Forum

The Arizona SARA Council holds an annual 1 day Forum for participating Arizona SARA institutions. The main goals of the Forum are:

  • To create collaboration and networking opportunities.
  • To provide AZ SARA, NC-SARA and federal distance education regulatory updates. 
  • To facilitate professional growth for distance education authorization professionals. 

The Arizona SARA Forum is held in late April or May. Prior to each year's Forum, registration information will be sent out to participating Arizona Institutions.
